Three things are not.

Opening or entering a tank. Septic tanks generate hydrogen sulfide and methane and displace oxygen. People die in them every year in this country, including people who climbed in to help someone else. Never open a lid to look, never lean in, never send anyone in.

Electrical work on pumps, floats, or alarms. Water and 120 volts in a buried chamber is not a place to learn. Effluent pumps, control panels, and float switches are licensed work.
